January 20th was my 24th birthday. I thought I would share a few photos from the day.
For my birthday meal we had tossed lasagna and a side salad.
Our oven stopped working last week so we had to figure out a different idea for a cake. Ana found a recipe for a chocolate cake that is baked in a slow cooker! So they made that. It turn out really well and it made it's own sauce on the bottom of the cake. Ana made a couple different kinds of homemade ice cream to have with it! Yum!
We had peanut butter cups for an ice cream topping!
It was a very yummy meal!
In the evening we watched a movie I had ordered last week and it came on my birthday! It is The Widow's Might which won the Grand Prize of $101,000 and also the Audience Choice Award at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival this year! We figured it must be pretty good, so we were excited to watch it! It was good and we really liked it! It had a lot of good points and also some very humorous parts!
It was a nice day!
What a great birthday....the food looks great and the movie sounds like a really good one!!
