A wonderful time was had with friends last weekend! We had not seen the T. family for a while and are thankful it worked out to visit them last Saturday.
Delicious food was served!
Beautiful piano music was played!
They had a very unique piano in their dining room! It is a square grand piano that was built in 1879!
The woodwork was beautiful.
Pianos are wonderful instruments! I enjoy playing them! It was a treat to see this unusual piano and learn a little about it.
After Church on Sunday we had choir practice which lasted for about an hour and a half. I enjoyed it! Then we went home to have lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon we went back to church with some of our instruments for the "Singspiration". There was "special music" interspersed among the hymns. We girls(Alyssa: Violin; Ana: Guitar; and I: Mountain Dulcimer) along with the F. ladies(Violins) and Mindy W.(Cello) played "Holy, Holy, Holy" for one of the music specials. The "Singspiration" lasted for over two hours! Wow, that was a lot of hymn singing! My voice was quite tired by the end of the day, but it was wonderful to hear all of the hymns being sung. :)
Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteBy the way that is a lot of
singing!
What a gorgeous piano!! We saw an 1800's(?) square grand piano, I believe, when we toured the Folsom House in Taylors Falls, MN, about 10 years ago--they even let Dane play it!! We have not seen the T. family for awhile either, and miss seeing them around :( Beautiful table setting and sounds like a lovely day/weekend!
