This past weekend was our friend's Derek and Rachel's wedding.
It was a wonderful wedding and we were glad to help out with it.

The evening before the wedding they did the rehearsal.

Derek and Rachel figuring out how the wedding party should stand.

There were a lot of mosquitoes out that evening and so they had to do a lot of swatting while they were out there.

The morning of the wedding I helped wipe the dew off the tables outside and then laid the tablecloths on them.

Ana got to work piping the frosting on the cupcakes and then later in the morning Ana and I put the chocolate hearts on them.

Alyssa took some photos of the wedding party while they were having their pictures taken before the wedding. The weather was so beautiful! Praise the Lord!!

The joyful wedding party.

Their very first kiss.

The whole wedding party and the parents and grandparents gathered around while both fathers each prayed for Derek and Rachel.

The reception!
At the reception a delicious pasta salad was served along with a lettuce salad topped with apples and pecans, and a bread roll.
Busy servers!
A few remaining cupcakes.
The Kingery family and the new Derek Tiemann family played and sang a few songs towards the end of the reception.

Derek and Rachel publicly thanked their parents and family for how they had raised them and all that they had done.
Great post! They're going to want your photos, and I'm sure they will be some of their most treasured! To God be the Glory, to be sure, for His blessings!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog off of "Days to Remember". This is a lovely site and I appreciate your Christ-centered focus. :-)
The wedding looks like it was absolutely beautiful. That was great how they had the prayer for the couple; that is how I would want my wedding to be like! And how nice to have it outside.
God bless!
A sister in Christ,

Melanie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your encouraging comments! Yes, I really liked how they had the prayer for the couple too! The Lord answered so many prayers that day for the wedding, the lovely weather being one of them!
In His love,
Amy W.
