Living With Zeal...

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming--"Wow! What a Ride!""

Ours is not really a journey to the grave, but to Heaven. I do not know who is the author of the above quote, but I saw it in a shop and liked it! What it makes me think of is the idea of living life with gusto, wholeheartedly for the Lord, and not selfishly; being willing to spend and be spent for the Lord whatever that may mean for each one of us. This life is not about ourselves, but about living our lives for the glory of the Lord.

"not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; ~Romans 12:11

"Whatever is worth doing in the the Christian life is valuable enough to be done with enthusiasm and care. Sloth and indifference not only prevent good, but allow evil to prosper." ~John MacArthur Jr.

"....But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off." Proverbs 23:17b-18
